The girls had to have surgery a few weeks ago for a hernia they both had. This little hernia popped up on the SAME exact day in the SAME exact place on these little twinners. Crazy how twins are SO alike in every way!! We arrived at Cooks Childrens in Ft. Worth at 6am. They had no idea what was coming, so they were as happy as clams bright and early in the morning! We got all checked in, paperwork filled out, and off to the surgery floor we went. After having their vitals checked, they drank some "giggle juice" and literally laughed and acted drunk until it was time to go back for surgery :-)
I was afraid they would be irritable and combative coming off of the anesthesia, but they weren't!! They acted perfectly content and never really even fussed. This made things much easier on mom and dad! No parents want to see their babies in pain!
Having some chicken noodle soup and a slushie when we got home. Still as happy as clams!
After the anesthesia had completely worn off, Allie started to hurt a little. Poor baby! :-( Emily never really complained at all though!
The surgery was a success and my pretties are hernia free now!!
Landon had his PreK Field Day the other day!! It was so cute watching all of those sweet babies compete in all of their events! My little athlete won three 1st Place ribbons and one 2nd place, and his class won the Tug of War and some other "pass the chicken" race. He had a blast at Field Day!
After Field Day, we all went to Campo Verde for some Christmas lights and fake cheese! If you're an Arlington local, you know what I'm talking about! Landon accidentally made Batman out of his tortilla...now that's talent people!!
